 🏀 2026/2027 Winter Basketball Registration  🏀 

Our Winter Basketball program is for K –8^th grade (Grade - Fall 2026/Spring 2027) 

This is a co-ed program, with most players being boys. 

There will be 8 games and 1 practice per week.

Practices begin the week of January 17^th –last season game(s) Saturday, February 27, 2027

       CFISD Middle School Gyms (TBD)

🗓 Registration Dates/Costs💲

Regular Registration:  October 19 – December 22, 2026 - $245

Late Registration:  December 23, 2025 – January 5, 2027 -NOON - $275

➗Divisions:

• K-1^st
• 2^nd/3rd Grade
• 4^th/5^th Grade
• Middle School (6th – 8^th)

Important:

• Player must be 5 years old at the start of the season.
• Players may play up one year but cannot play down.

📅 Season Timeline

• January 17 – Parent Coach Meeting
• Practice Week 1 – (either Tuesday, Jan 19^th or Thursday, Jan 21^st)
• Practice Week 2 – (either Tuesday, Jan 26^h or Thursday, Jan 28^st)
• Saturday, January 30 – First Game Day
• Saturday, February 6 – Game Day
• Saturday, February 13 – Game Day
• Saturday, February 20 – Game Day
• Saturday, February 27 – Playoff/Championship Games

TBD – Saturday Photo Day, Spirit Week

Game Schedules

• Saturday Double Headers (Jan 3 - Feb 27)
• Schedules will be published 1 week prior to game start date.

 

🏋️ Practice Schedules

• Practice days, times, and locations are selected by the volunteer head coach.
• Practice requests cannot be accommodated.
• Sports are limited to 3 total events per week (games + practices).

👥 Team Formation

• Teams are formed by the CFISD school your child attends (If outside CFISD, list the school closest to your home).
• If necessary, neighboring schools may be combined.
• Players do not have to attend CFISD to participate.
• Team. Formation begins after registration closes. 
• Background checks on coaches must be completed before rosters are released.
• Once a coach has been placed and they receive their roster they will contact families via e-mail.

👋 Friend/Coach Requests

• Requests must be made before registration closes.
• Both players must be registered in the same division.
• Requests are not guaranteed.
• Players will not be moved to another age division to accommodate requests.

🧢 Coaches Registration

Please consider volunteering!

• Register as Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Manager (no cost).
• CFSA is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization.
• Coaches must pass a yearly background check (in our system).
• Co-coaching is allowed.
• Coaches must verify rosters prior to the first game.  Failure to verify could result in a game forfeiture.

👕 Uniforms

Provided:

• Jersey

⚠️ Incorrect sizes or lost jerseys will require a reorder if the vendor can accommodate.   Jersey cost, taxes and shipping are at the expense of the player’s family.

📝 Refund Policy

• The last day to apply for a refund is: December 22, 2026. Please review the Refund Policy prior to registering
•  Other CFSA programs offered in the winter/spring could have conflicting schedules.  Please consider this when registering for more than one sport.  If schedules do conflict you are not eligible for a refund.

CFSA Basketball, serving the Cypress Fairbanks School District and surrounding areas, is the destination association for an organization that offers recreational programs as well as basketball specific training in this area.  We offer comprehensive programs / opportunities to participate in the sport as follows:

• Winter/Spring League 
• Summer League 

We are a volunteer driven sports program.  We rely mostly on our parents to volunteer as committee members, organizers, facilitators, and yes…coaches.

We offer League Seasons, Playoffs, and Championships complete with referees and score clock operators provided for all games.
