CFSA Sponsors

Sponsorships

YOU NEED TO GO TO THE INDIVIDUAL SPORT PAGE AND CLICK ON "SPONSORSHIPS" FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION REGARDING MANDATORY SPONSORSHIPS AND DATES

THE INFORMATION BELOW IS ONLY AFTER MANDATORY SPONSORSHIPS HAVE BEEN MET

Sponsorships are encouraged. Additional monies and/or "Volunteer Sponsorships" collected by a team can be turned into the CFSA office located at 25202 Northwest Freeway Suite C, Cypress, TX 77429 at any time during the season. CFSA will reimburse your team for team related expenses in a single check at the conclusion of the season. CFSA will reimburse league formed teams at a rate of 80% of the sponsored amount, subject to the following criteria:

  • Expense is for team related items, i.e., pants, decals, team party, trophies, etc. Reimbursement will not be made for items that would finish the season for any individual on the team, i.e., tackling dummy, a single helmet or pads, etc.

  • A single reimbursment is given to each team, one request per sponsor. If you get a single sponsor and turn in a request, that sponsorship will be closed and any excess funds will revert to the CFSA treasury. If you have several, you turn in your receipts and one (single) check will be issued for the receipts.

  • You will be given a numbered receipt from the office when you turn in the check.

  • The website ad mentioned on the sponsorship form relates to having your name mentioned at the bottom of the roster and having your name linked to your website. IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU GET AN AD ON CFSA website.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Why does CFSA keep 20%? CFSA has set that as a standard for those wishing to receive charitable donations to CFSA will assist in community wide functions such as scholarships and capital improvements that will benefit the community as a whole.

  • Why won't CFSA reimburse me for training tools needed like pitching machines or tackling dummies? In the following of the thought above, the sponsor's money should be spent directly on the children intended by this sponsorship. This includes all forms if items needed by the children that they will all equally share in value for the same time. At the end of a season, the tangible items remaining will continue to benefit some and not others.

  • Why does CFSA make me purchase the items and then get one reimbursement a the end of the season? CFSA is a volunteer organization and as you can imagine, the number of requests and the accounting for those requests can get out of hand quickly. To assist in our volunteer efforts, we request that you submit not more than one request per sponsorship.

  • Why don't we receive any money from our initial sponsor? CFSA has used sponsorship to entail community involvement at the same time as offsetting costs. In Baseball and Football, there is a requirement for sponsorships that is earmarked for future facility acquisition and development. Without these funds, we would be forced to raise the rates on each participant to fund these new developments for the children of tomorrow to have a place to play.

  • Is my donation Tax Deductibleω Generally the answer to this is yes. Cy-Fair Sports Association is classified as a not for profit under Section 501(c)3 of the internal revenue code. But, we are not tax consultants and do advise that you consult your tax professional for the deductibility of this donation.
